Aaron M. Cohen is a photographer based in Portland, Oregon. He received an MA in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University, and subsequently attended the International Center of Photography's Documentary Photography and Photojournalism program. While he was a student there, he interned at Magnum Photos.
Editorial clients include Time Out New York, GEO, Fortune Small Business, New York Press, Esquire (Russia), and The Sun Magazine. His work has also appeared on VanityFair.com, Time.com, and Newsweek.com. Nonprofit clients include Habitat for Humanity, the World Future Society and Open Meadow Schools (in the U.S.) and The Children's Movement for Creative Education (in Bosnia). He is the recipient of an artist grant from the Puffin Foundation for his project "The Communitarians."
Recent news: "The Communitarians" was part of the 2012 Palm Springs Photo Festival slide shows and was also featured in the April 2012 issue of One One Thousand.
